HYDERABAD: Vice-President M. Venkaiah Naidu said on Saturday that certain individuals are unable to comprehend India's rapid development. While India is accepted and acknowledged, he says that some western media outlets propagandise against it on small issues. Naidu was speaking at the Swarna Bharat Trust in Muchintal, on the outskirts of Hyderabad, during Telugu New Year Ugadi celebrations. "India is the centre of attention for the entire world. India is being recognised, acknowledged, and realised. Despite the fact that some western media outlets may propagate anti-India propaganda on minor matters, India's value systems, traditions, and legacy are acknowledged worldwide "he stated Some individuals were unable to comprehend India's rapid development he said. Some countries' media write something they believe is in their country's best interests, yet some people in India utilise the same stuff to try to smear the country's image. The Vice-President also raised concern about some members of Parliament and state legislatures behaving badly. He claimed that the language being used was tarnishing the entire system. Chairman of the Rajya Sabha, Naidu, described several instances in Parliament and state legislatures as "painful." He also found fault with media for exaggerating the significance of such instances. He said, it is not news for the media if politicians speak well on subjects, but it is news if someone causes a ruckus, uses foul language, or makes personal attacks on others.
