New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi was born on September 17, 1950, in a village in Gujarat. There are many inspiring stories related to PM Modi's life, which are an inspiration for the youth. One such story has been narrated by Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal. Recalling an incident during the election of Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman, Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal has said that PM Modi was waiting in the lobby outside the hall, where the election processes were going on and he refused to go inside. This exemplary move surprised Meghwal. He said that PM Modi did this because he was a Lok Sabha member and elections were being held for the post of Deputy Chairman in the Upper House. In a video, Meghwal recalled that it was his duty to take PM Modi to the Rajya Sabha on the day of the election of the Rajya sabha deputy chairman. When he met PM Modi, the Prime Minister asked if the electoral process was over. He asked the minister to track the news on TV and inform him once the process is over so that he can leave for Parliament. Arjun Meghwal said, "The Prime Minister asked me to track tv news to know about the end of the process of deputy chairman election. After some time, I urged him that by the time we reach, the electoral process will be over. We were supposed to enter the hall but he was told that the electoral process was still going on. Immediately he decided not to go in and sit in the lobby outside. The marshal came and told him that the Prime Minister can go inside the House, but PM Modi refused saying that I am a member of the Lok Sabha and cannot go inside because the election process for the Deputy Chairman of the Rajya Sabha is going on. Such simplicity and commitment of the Prime Minister to parliamentary procedures thrilled me.''
