Who is Mahua Manjhi? For whom CM Hemant bought his displeasure from Congress

Ranchi: Mahua Manjhi on Tuesday filed her nomination papers for the Rajya Sabha from Jharkhand as a candidate of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha. CM Hemant Soren has fielded Mahua Manjhi for Rajya Sabha from JMM, setting aside the hopes of Congress. In such a situation, the question arises that who is Mahua Manjhi for whom JMM has taken the political risk of Congress's anger?

Dr. Mahua Manjhi is one of the great litterateurs of Hindi and a well-known name in the field of social service. Hemant is considered close to Soren's family and is the president of JMM Mahila Morcha. Mahua Manjhi has expressed gratitude to all the leaders, MLAs, MPs and workers of JMM including party supremo Shibu Soren, CM Hemant Soren for being made a Rajya Sabha candidate.

At the same time, a political rift has arisen between the Congress and the JMM after Mahua Manjhi was nominated as the candidate, as the Congress was making its claim on this seat. Jharkhand Congress President Rajesh Thakur has openly said that something was decided in the meeting held with Sonia Gandhi in Delhi and after coming to Ranchi something else was announced. In such a situation, it is clear that the estrangement between JMM and Congress can increase. Mahua Manjhi will be the first woman member from JMM to reach the Rajya Sabha. Born on December 10, 1964, Mahua Manjhi studied at Ranchi University. Manjhi is a post graduate and PhD in Sociology. Mahua Manjhi, who came from literature to politics, has taken a long leap in politics. Mahua has been associated with JMM for a long time. He contested from Ranchi seat in the 2014 and 2019 assembly elections. However, both the times he had to face defeat from CP Singh of BJP.
