Lucknow: Samajwadi Party (SP) stalwart leader and former Uttar Pradesh minister Azam Khan had filed a petition in the apex court for bail. Azam Khan's bail plea was heard in the top court on Tuesday. Azam Khan's lawyer Kapil Sibal presented strong arguments for bail in the court, while the UP government's lawyer also presented his side opposing Azam's bail. The Assistant Solicitor General also alleged that Azam Khan had threatened the investigating officer who had gone to inquire. Congress leader advocate Kapil Sibal, appearing for Azam Khan, said that in this case the same complainant has made a supplementary complaint.
