Woman shot dead by three in Aman Vihar, Delhi

New Delhi: In a terrible incident, a 55-year-old woman was shot dead by 3 attackers in the national capital's Aman Vihar on Thursday night. The accused were detained by the police after the crime was captured on a CCTV camera in the area.

The shocking footage revealed a man standing in front of a house while another stood on the lookout a few feet back. The man drew forthwith a gun and fired into the house without warning, the video showed. No sooner did the gunshot was heard,  than the man on guard fled the spot. The shooter also joined his accomplice a few seconds later, after taking a look around.

Locals said, the victim Gita's son had married a woman from another community a year ago. The girl's family was displeasure with the interfaith union and finally said to have led to Gita's murder on Thursday night. The assailant reportedly opened fire the moment Gita opened the door of the house. More information are awaited.

It is to be noted that in 2021, a 33-year-old woman was killed in Aman Vihar by a juvenile after the former's child urinated infront of his residence.The victim was attacked at her shop after the negotiating talk ended abruptly. The minor accused who fled the spot after attacking the woman was later booked by the police.
