New Delhi: The World Health Organisation (WHO) has shown Jammu and Kashmir and Arunachal Pradesh, an integral part of India, in the world map, as part of Pakistan and China. This was revealed by Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Shantanu Sen by posting a screenshot of the map of the world. He has written a letter to PM Modi on the issue, urging him to intervene at the earliest. In his letter to PM Modi, Shantanu Sen has said, "When I opened the WHO's COVID-19 site, I saw a map of India, in which Jammu and Kashmir had a different colour and a small part of it was also of a different colour. When I zoomed in and clicked on them, the Covid statistics of Pakistan and China showed up. ' Sen has reported that India's data came in the map when he clicked on the blue part, but on clicking on the different part, he was showing the Covid data of Pakistan. Shantanu Sen says that a part of Arunachal Pradesh has also been shown as part of China apart from India. Describing the issue as an international issue, Sen has sought immediate intervention from the Indian government in the matter. In the year 2021, Twitter tried to remove Jammu and Kashmir from the map of India. In addition, in the year 2020, Leh was shown as part of China by Twitter. Apart from Twitter, Google had shown a wrong map of India in its 'Trends' section, removing parts of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. After this, people on social media had protested against google being shown the wrong map of India and instructed it to correct the map as soon as possible. People also shared the map put up by the Government of India during this period. The Indian government had released a clear map of both of them after Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh were declared as Union Territories, but even after this, platforms like Google and Twitter are not showing them as part of India.
