Bangalore: In Karnataka, the BJP leader has been made deputy chief minister, who was found to be watching on his mobile in the Assembly in 2012 as a minister. His name is Laxman Savadi. He is neither a MLA nor a member of the Legislative Council this time. Yet, his post as deputy chief minister has made the state in a shambles. Party leaders are protesting against the post of Deputy CM to a discredited leader for watching. In fact, CM BS Yeddyurappa of the province has announced three deputy CMs to strike a balance between castes in Karnataka. Laxman Savadi, Govind M. Karloj and Ashwatth Narayan have been given these posts. Of these, he is not a member of any House. Yet he has been made Deputy CM. BJP MLA Renukacharya has questioned Savadi's post as Deputy CM. MLA Renukacharya has said, "What was the need to give such a big post to the loser of the election? The Assembly session was in progress in 2012. During that time, the cameras turned to three ministers. All three MLAs were busy watching on mobile. There was a hue and cry when the photos surfaced outside. This included Laxman Savadi, who was the minister at the time. The three ministers had to resign after the opposition uproar.
