New Delhi: Amidst the peasant movements, the Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has given a big deal to the farmers of the state. The Yogi government has fixed the minimum support price (MSP) of wheat whose purchase is going to be done from April 1. The government has fixed the MSP for wheat at Rs 1975 per quintal. In a way, this year, 50 rupees has been increased more than last year's MSP. Government procurement of wheat in Uttar Pradesh is going to start from April 1. Speaking on MSP, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath has said that in every situation farmers should get the benefit of MSP. Yogi Adityanath further said that 'the godown and all the procurement centers will be geo-tagged.' CM Yogi has instructed all the officials related to the purchase that farmers should not face any kind of problem while selling their wheat. They have been instructed that additional arrangements should be made for the maintenance of wheat in the state. CM Yogi further said that 'All farmers will be given online slip related to purchasing of wheat. This time it has also been kept in mind that no work will be given to such agencies whose previous record is poor. Geo-tagging will be arranged at all wheat procurement centers and warehouses.'
