Mangalagiri: "With the cooperation of the Government of Telangana and the Chief Minister, the Chief Minister's Office has given new sand mining permission to the tainted Sudhakar Infratech in the Godavari River." TDP national spokesperson K Pattabhi Ram said, "There was enough evidence to say how the Chief Minister and his cabinet colleagues and YSRCP leaders were involved in large-scale exploitation of sand and natural resources of Andhra Pradesh. TDP demanded that the CBI should initiate a thorough investigation into illegal sand mining." He asked whether government advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy and minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy could give any reply on the illegal sand mining issue. The Chief Minister was grossly misusing the power and authority to plunder the sand and natural resources which was causing huge loss to the exchequer. Pattabhi Ram said JP Power had complained to the police that Sudhakar Infra used forged documents to misuse the name of his company to do illegal sand mining. Viswanathan, finance manager of Jaypee Power, accused Sudhakar Infra of collecting hundreds of crores in the name of false agreements and sand transport. The TDP leader said that his party had questioned the Chief Minister, Mines Minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, Principal Secretary Gopalkrishna Dwivedi, DGP and CID chief Sunil Kumar about illegal sand activities by Sudhakar Infra. He didn't open his mouth. When media persons questioned Dwivedi on this, he refrained from giving a direct answer and only said that the matter is being looked into by the Special Enforcement Bureau.
