The German Football League (DFL) has revealed that 1724 cases of coronavirus were investigated in all clubs in the league, of which 10 cases were found positive in the top two divisions. The DFL said on Monday that all clubs and divisions had conducted the investigation at the individual level as per the guidelines of the local health administration. The clubs are training in groups.
DFL said, "Phase II investigation will be done this week. Here too, isolates can be positive and this cannot be completely ruled out."
Last week only three players of FC Köln were found to be Test positive. However, the club said that no case has surfaced since then. The German league Bundesliga is set to become the first major football league to return to competition in Europe. Football activities in Germany have been stopped since 13 March.
