Amritsar: Aam Aadmi Party's (AAP) claims of making Punjab drug-free have been exposed. In fact, an Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader himself was arrested with 30 grams of heroin on Thursday. The AAP leader was arrested from Khemkaran in Tarn Taran. In such a situation, questions are being raised on the de-addiction of the Bhagwant Mann government of AAP.

The Punjab police's action came a day after arresting seven drug traffickers. A video of selling drugs publicly on a railway track in Faridkot had gone viral on social media. In which a man was seen near a crowd of addicts.   According to media reports, the police have arrested AAP leader Jaswant Singh from near village Padhi in this case. An FIR under the NDPS Act has been registered against him at the Jhabal police station. Jaswant Singh's wife has been elected sarpanch from Dashmesh Nagar on a Congress ticket. At the same time, the husband and wife had joined the AAP ahead of the February 20 assembly elections in Punjab.

The information about Jaswant Singh joining AAP was given by AAP candidate from Khemkaran and now MLA from the same seat, Sarwan Singh Dhunn, through his Facebook page.   He also shared some pictures of it. On the other hand, former Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) Badal MLA Virsa Singh Valtoha on Thursday posted pictures of Jaswant with Dhunna. According to the report, at least 10 people have lost their lives in Punjab in the last one week due to drug overdose or addiction. Valtoha has questioned whether the people of Punjab voted for this change.
