Nizamabad: About 1,000 chickens died on Wednesday at a poultry farm in Yanampally village in Thechapalli mandal in the district. However, animal husbandry officials say that bird flu symptoms are not visible in the chickens.

Dr Bharat, Joint Director of Animal Husbandry Department, said, "Ramchander Gaur, owner of Durga Bhavani Poultry Farm, informed the authorities. He and other department officials later visited the poultry farm and collected dead chickens and their blood samples.

Samples were sent to the lab in Hyderabad for testing to know the causes of the chicken death. In this poultry farm, 8,000 chickens are being reared, of which about 5,000 chickens were sent to Satavahana Hatchari two days ago. There are 3,000 chickens left in the field, of which 1,000 chickens died on Wednesday.

At the same time, dr. Bharat, joint director of the Animal Husbandry Department, said that bird flu symptoms were not seen in the chickens. He said that only after the test report could we tell the causeof death.
