Islamabad: The day in which the minority girls are kidnapped and their religion converted, this fact is not hidden from anyone. The kidnappers forcefully pick up the girls at gunpoint and then forcibly convert them and marry them with an elderly or middle-aged person many times more than that girl.

One of these victims is Sonam. Sonam loved to sing in church and she used to sing there every year. However, she could not sing in church last year. Her reason was to forcibly convert Christianity to Islam at the age of 14 and then get Sonam married with a 45-year-old man who already has 2 children. Sonam narrated her tragedy in a slow voice. Sonam's middle-aged husband is jailed on charges of raping a minor girl. However, she still hides and is scared because the security guards threatened her brother with a gun in a packed court.

The Associated Press did not reveal Sonam's real name for security reasons. Sonam said that he had brought a gun so that he could shoot me. Sonam is among those 1000 minority girls, who are converted to Islam every year in Pakistan. Most of them are those whose age becomes legally marriageable.
