106 patients died of coronavirus breaking all records in Punjab on Wednesday. Till now the death toll from Coronavirus had not gone above sixty on any day. The figure of infected people who died in the state has reached 1618. Out of 15,629 infected in various hospitals of the state, the condition of 511 people is still critical. Of these, 440 are on oxygen support and 71 are on ventilators. In the last twenty-four hours, 1514 new cases of Corona have also been reported. Now the number of infected people in the state has been 56,989.

According to the Health Department, on Wednesday, eighteen in Ludhiana, eleven in Jalandhar, ten in Bathinda, nine in Mohali, eight in Amritsar and Gurdaspur each, seven in Ropar, six in Patiala, five each in Ferozepur, Kapurthala and Hoshiarpur, Fatehgarh Three died in Sahib and Fazilka, two in Faridkot, Sangrur and Tarn Taran each, one in Muktsar and Nawanshahar each.

Apart from 5 districts Ludhiana, Amritsar, Jalandhar, Patiala and Mohali in the state, Corona infection in Bathinda has started spreading fast. For the last two days, more than 100 cases are coming up in Bathinda District every day. On Wednesday, the maximum 242 cases were registered in Ludhiana. Apart from this, 171 in Jalandhar, 163 in Bathinda, 160 in Patiala, 112 in Mohali, 99 in Amritsar, 64 in Faridkot, 63 in Muktsar, 60 in Barnala, 60 in Fazilka, 46 in Ferozepur, 44 in Sangrur, 30 in Ropar, In Tarn Taran and Mansa, 27 to 27 Corona-infected cases have been reported in Gurdaspur and Kapurthala, 25-25 in Moga and Pathankot, 18 in Hoshiarpur, 17-17 in Fatehgarh Sahib and Nawanshahar.
