Mumbai: Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde's son Shrikant Eknath Shinde said that our hold on Shiv Sena is strong as we have two-thirds of our MLAs in the state and 12 out of 18 MPs. Due to this, he also spoke about Arjun Khotkar, who was a minister in the Uddhav Thackeray government.
Shrikant Shinde said that the data of our people's representatives is showing that our hold on the party is strong. Talking to the media, he said, "We will not take action against the MPs of the Uddhav faction. We do not want to take action against the remaining six MPs. The Supreme Court will decide on who the Shiv Sena will be.'' Speaking about Arjun Khotkar, Srikanth said that he is sitting with us, today Arjun Khotkar Navale and Abdul Sattar are with us. It gives a clear signal. Arjun Khotkar, who lives with the Uddhav faction, had breakfast with Shrikant Shinde. Khotkar said that he will announce about my future tomorrow. Shiv Sena leader Arjun Khotkar said what happened in Maharashtra should not have happened, but now the focus should have been on the future. I am close to Eknath Shinde's family and we will stay together.
Senior Shiv Sena leader Arjun Khotkar is likely to be in the Shinde group. It is being said that on July 31, he may join the Shinde faction. Earlier, he had met CM Shinde in Delhi. The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear the petition of both factions on August 1 regarding the disqualification of MLAs and anti-defection rules.
