Fatehpur: Despite stringent laws and strict police action, crimes against girls and women are not stopping. News of the tragedy comes from different corners of the country in the coming days. One such case has come up from Fatehpur district of Uttar Pradesh. A 7-year-old girl who was returning home by grazing a goat from the forest was allegedly raped by a 14-year-old boy on Wednesday evening in a village in Bindki Kotwali area of the district.
The girl has been admitted to the hospital for treatment in critical condition. Fatehpur Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Rajesh Kumar said on Thursday that the incident of rape of a seven-year-old girl was raped by her neighbour 14-year-old boy in a village in Bindki Kotwali area came to light on Wednesday.
He said that in this connection, the victim has been admitted to the hospital after registering a rape case at night. Simultaneously, the accused has also been arrested. Police sources said that when the girl did not return home for too long, the family members searched for her and she was found unconscious in the forest. She then informed the police about the incident. At present, the police is preparing to send the accused to jail.
