Mathura: A case of gang-rape of a young woman has come to light in Thana Highway area of Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh. The police have registered a case and started the investigation. A 20-year-old girl living in the police station area, along with her family members, reached the police station and informed the police about the incident.

The victim's father's father says that his girl had gone to get milk, that the accused forcibly dragged her to the car and raped her. The victim's father alleges that a police officer and a soldier are in collusion with the accused. A case has been registered after the victim met top police officials.

Superintendent of Police City Uday Shankar Singh says that the police has started the investigation by registering a case based on the complaint of the victim's family. They say that the victim has been sent for medical examination and evidence compilation is being done. SP City Uday Shankar Singh said that the victim has come to the police station to rape her. A case has been registered in this regard in appropriate sections.
