Bhubaneswar: With the arrival of 1,434 newly infected corona in Odisha, the total number of coronavirus cases reached 34,913 on Sunday. While the death toll with ten more people rose to 197. A health department official said that new cases of Corona came out in 29 districts. Of these, maximum 320 in Ganjam, 218 in Khurda, 197 in Raigad, 123 in Cuttack, 91 in Gajapati and 76 cases have been reported from Sundergarh.

4 infected people have been killed since Saturday in the most affected district of Odisha in Ganjam. 3 people lost their lives in Khurda, 1 in Jajpur, 1 in Sundergarh, and 1 in Kalahandi. In this regard, the officer said that the first death occurred from Corona in the tribal-dominated Kalahandi district. The Department of Health and Family Welfare said in a statement, "It is sad to inform that ten patients of Corona died during treatment in hospitals."

A 65-year-old patient infected with Corona infection was also died in Gajapati, but the department has given the cause of his death as kidney disease. He further stated that out of 1,434 new infected persons, 889 people were found infected in isolated centers. The people who came in contact with the infected people are still being traced. Even in Odisha, 13,403 people are infected with corona, while 21,274 people have recovered from this disease. On Sunday, 14,608 samples were examined in the state. A total of 5,43,316 samples have been investigated so far.
