Bangalore: Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa is facing the displeasure of his own MLAs after the cabinet expansion. Now, 15 MLAs from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are becoming rebels against their own government. These MLAs are in touch with each other and are planning to come to the Top Delhi leadership to complain about Yediyurappa.
Yediyurappa expanded his cabinet on January 13 and replaced 7 new faces. BJP MLAs say that the cabinet has given space to people who have already enjoyed the pleasure of power and the scale set for them to be given ministerial posts is wrong. The legislators, who are in revolt, say that the government should take senior ministers and MLC out of the office and make room for the youth team to formulate the party's strategy for the coming two decades.
BJP MLA Shivanagada Naik has said, "Young faces should be made ministers by removing ministers who have lived in the government for 20 months, senior ministers should work for the party and evolve a strategy for the 2023 elections. Yediyurappa's political secretary MLA Renukacharya has also arrived in Delhi twice a week, he is also outraged by the cabinet reshuffle and is seeking time to meet the top leadership of the party.
