New Delhi: The foundation stone of Ram temple has been laid in Ayodhya. On August 5, more than 16 crore people watched the live telecast of the Bhoomi Pujan program of Shri Ram temple. This figure has come out from the preliminary estimate of Prasar Bharati. Prasar Bharati CEO Shashi Shekhar Venpati said that the number of viewers watching the live telecast of Doordarshan was shown live by about 200 TV channels during major celebrations on Wednesday between 10.45 am and 2 pm.

Shashi Shekhar further said that as a result, the audience in the world of TV in India watched Bhoomi Poojan more than 7 billion minutes. According to earlier preliminary estimates, more than 16 crore people watched the Bhoomi Pujan program of Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya live. On Wednesday, PM Modi had done Bhoomi Poojan and the foundation stone for the construction of Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya.

Amid Vedic chants, PM Modi laid the foundation stone for the construction of the temple. PM Modi took special care of physical distance during the program. He was wearing a mask.
