The death rate from the corona in the capital has been steadily decreasing. In the first week of this month, the rate has come down to just 1.5 percent, which is half of the month of June. Now on average, 18 people die every day due to infection. This figure was 74 in June and 40 in July. The number of deaths is decreasing due to the steps being taken by the government.
According to Delhi Health Department, after 31 July to 6 August, eight thousand cases of infection occurred and 120 people died. Accordingly, the death rate was 1.5 percent. In the month of June, there were 67,800 cases of covid-19. And a record 2,220 patients died. Then the death rate was 3.2%. During that time an average of 74 people died every day.
In July, there were 47,900 cases of corona infection. The virus killed 1,160 people, resulting in a death rate of 2.5 in July. Which has been reduced by 1.5 percent in the first week of August. That is, there has been a decrease of about 2% in the deaths from corona during June to August. There are several steps taken by the Health Department to reduce the death toll. The number of ICU beds was doubled. The number of beds in all the hospitals was also increased to more than 15 thousand. The patients could be transported to the hospital on time. For this many new ambulances were included in the bed. A new control room was created where the information about the upcoming call for an ambulance should be conveyed to the concerned staff.
