Malaysia: Former Malaysian PM Mahatir Mohammad said that Malaysia wants to send the disputed Mushlim preacher Zakir Naik to any country except India but most countries do not want to accept him. It is another matter that Indian security agencies have been looking for Zakir Naik for spreading communal hysteria and money laundering issue for a long time. He fled abroad in 2016. After wandering in many countries, it has been based in Malaysia for a long time. It was Mahathir who allowed him to stay permanently.

Mahatir claimed that Zakir Naik is not safe from the Indian people in Malaysia. We want to send him to another country so that he will be safe there. But most countries did not want to take it here. In a conversation with the Intelligence News Agency, Mahathir said that his remarks on Kashmir caused tension in his country's relations with India. It was also told that under his leadership, the relationship between the two countries was very good. Mahathir was once the world's longest-serving elected leader. He is trying to return to power.

He said that he has been making comments about the issue around the world. He was asked why India-Malaysia relations deteriorated when he was PM. But in September 2019, during his address to the United Nations General Assembly, Mahathir brought the Kashmir issue to the fore. India's Foreign Ministry issued a strong response to this. The State Department had said that the reference given about Indian Jammu and Kashmir has been completely rejected and which is an integral part of India. The former PM of Malaysia said, our relations with India have always been very good. But sometimes due to minor disturbances, events had an immediate impact on the relationship at that time, but very quickly we removed such a lot in our relations.
