Tragic accident in Aurangabad, train crushes labourers, 16 died

Aurangabad: A painful rail accident took place in Aurangabad, Maharashtra this morning. Here 19 workers were crushed by a freight train, in which 16 died on the spot. The lives of two labourers have been saved in this accident. The incident occurred at 5AM, when all these workers were sleeping on the track. According to the information received, an official of Karmad police station told that the labourers going on foot from Jalna to Bhusawal were coming to Madhya Pradesh. These workers were walking on the side of the railway tracks, when tired of walking, they slept on the tracks.

PM Modi has expressed grief over the Aurangabad incident. PM Modi tweeted that, 'I am deeply saddened by the deaths in the railway accident in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. In this matter, Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal has spoken and he is closely monitoring the situation. All the necessary help is being provided.

On the other hand, Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal also tweeted that on this incident, he said, 'This morning at 5:22 we got the sad news of sleeping workers falling under the goods train between Badnapur and Karmad station of Nanded division. Relief work is going on, and orders for inquiries have been given. I pray to God for the peace of departed souls.
