Lahore: The number of doctors infected with Coronavirus in Pakistan has increased to 160 on Saturday, while 3 health workers have lost their lives. At the same time, the protest of medical staff on the lack of personal protective equipment (PPE) in the country continued for the ninth day on Saturday.

According to the Pakistan Medical Association, the virus-infected doctor Muhammad Javed Iqbal died in Peshawar less than a week ago. Earlier, one doctor each died due to coronavirus in Gilgit-Baltistan and Karachi. According to the association, 250 health workers including 160 doctors have been infected with the Coronavirus so far.

Protests by doctors and nurses' organizations outside the Punjab Health Department's office in Pakistan continued for the ninth day on Saturday. His protests are about the fact that in the absence of adequate safety kit, health workers are constantly falling prey to the corona virus and the government is unaware of this. Giving information, Dr. Salman Hasib, who is leading the protesters, has said that, "Our protest will continue until the government fulfills this legitimate demand."
