Shillong: The outbreak of corona in Meghalaya is increasing rapidly. Every day the data of patients is increasing. At least eighteen more people, including eleven security personnel in Meghalaya, have been confirmed corona infected, after which the total number of corona cases in the state increased to 1,994 on Tuesday. A health department official gave this information. Director of Health Services Aman War said that out of the new cases, fourteen came out from East Khasi Hill District, 2 cases came from Bhoi and 1 from North and West Garo Hills District each.

He said, "Eleven personnel of the Armed Forces are in the grip of Corona, out of which ten are from East Khasi Hill District and one is from Western Garo District. In Meghalaya, treatment of 1,187 infected corona infections is underway at this time and 799 patients have become healthy so far. So far 8 patients have died of corona in the state. Warr said that the treatment of 780 infected people is going on in East Khasi Hill District. He said that the treatment of 224 people in West Garo Hill and 93 in Ri Bhoi is going on.

He has said that 285 security personnel are among those infected with Corona infection in East Khasi Hill District. Corona cases in India have crossed the 32 lakh mark. On Wednesday, there has been a surge in cases of coronavirus. On Wednesday, 67,151 new cases were revealed.
