Lahore: 19 Sikh devotees have died tragically in a horrific accident in Pakistan on Friday afternoon. A bus carrying Sikh devotees collided with the Shah Hussain Express going to Karachi in Lahore. The accident occurred at Sucha Saudha railway crossing near Nankana Sahib. There is no gate there. The accident was so severe that 15 devotees died on the spot.

A total of 10 people have been injured in this accident, out of which 8 have been admitted to the hospital. Railway officials have said that the reason for the accident is a non-gated railway crossing. The high-speed Shah Hussain Express was about to pass there. Meanwhile, the driver of the bus also tried to cross the railway line. The injured have been admitted to the hospital.

On this incident, PM Narendra Modi tweeted, expressing grief, 'I am saddened by the death of Sikh devotees in Pakistan. My condolences are with the family and friends of the deceased. I wish the injured to get well soon.' Manjinder Singh Sirsa, the head of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, expressed deep grief over the death of 19 Sikhs in a collision between a train and a bus in Farukabad of Sheikhupura district in Pakistan. Sirsa has demanded an inquiry from Pakistan PM Imran Khan into the accident.
