Thiruvananthapuram: On Friday, 1,983 new cases of coronavirus were reported in Kerala, with the total figure of corona infected people in the state has increased to 54,182. After the death of twelve more infected people in the state, the death toll has reached 203. Health Minister KK Shailaja said that at least 1,777 people tested corona positive, while the source of infection of 109 people is not yet known. Corona infection has also been confirmed in 35 health workers out of the new cases.
The Health Minister has said in a press release that after recovering, 1,419 people were discharged from different hospitals on Friday. So far, 35,247 people recovered from corona while 18,673 patients are undergoing treatment. According to the release, in the last 24 hours, 35,825 samples have been sent for examination and a total of 13,49,071 samples have been investigated so far.
If we talk about the Corona figures of India, then for the third consecutive day there has been a big jump in the cases of Coronavirus in the country. On Saturday, 69,877 new cases were reported, the highest number of patients in a day so far. The figure of the infected has reached almost three lakhs. But it is a matter of relief that the number of people recovering from corona has exceeded 22 lakhs and the corona investigation record is increasing.
