Prayagraj: Two Tablighi Jamaatis of Kerela and West Bengal are granted bail by the District Magistrate. They were held for spreading coronavirus and hiding information from the police during the lockdown. They stayed at a mosque in Uttar Pradesh. ADJ Veer Bhadra Singh, after hearing the arguments of the Jamaatis' lawyer Syed Ahmed Naseem Guddu on the application, has granted bail to both of them.

The court has ordered the release of both Jamaati's Ashraf PK in Kerala and Shahzan Ali of 24 Parganas district in West Bengal on bail amount of 2 thousand each. It is worth mentioning that on April 21, 30 Jamaatis including 16 foreigners from Mehbooba Palace Kareli were arrested by the police and sent to jail. A case was registered against both the Jamaatis for coming to Prayagraj district during the lockdown and staying in Markaz of Shahganj police station area without permission of the administration and spreading corona infection and violation of visa rules.

During the debate on the bail plea, it was argued on behalf of the accused that none of the 30 Jamaatis including all foreigners, were infected with corona nor was the infection spread by anyone. In several investigations, the reports of all the accused came negative and there was no violation of visa rules by anyone.
