Srinagar: The news of a road accident is coming in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir. Two people have died in this accident. The accident occurred in Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Tunnel connecting Chennai to Nashri from where the high-speed Alto became a victim of a car accident. The accident occurred in a 9 km long Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Tunnel where a high-speed Alto car hits the gate of the tunnel.
According to the information given by the police, this Alto car has crashed inside the Nashri tunnel. The police claim that the three youths present in the car were residents of Udhampur and were going from Udhampur towards Ramban. As soon as this car reached the Nashri tunnel, the driver of the car lost control of the vehicle and the car crashed directly into gate number 16.
The collision was so severe that two people in the car died on the spot, while the third person was seriously injured. The three victims of the accident were immediately rushed to the nearby Upjila Hospital, where two people riding in this car were declared dead. The police identified the dead as Bittu Sharma (40) and Sudesh Pandit (28). The injured people have been identified as Ganesh Gautam (20).
