Fatal Accident on Nagpur-Mumbai Samriddhi Expressway Claims Two Lives

Mumbai: Two people tragically lost their lives in an accident on Monday in Buldhana district, Maharashtra. The accident occurred on the Nagpur-Mumbai Samriddhi Expressway when an SUV collided with a truck and then crashed into the highway guardrail. According to police reports, the incident happened around 9:30 in the morning, claiming the lives of two SUV occupants.

In another accident on Sunday night, one person was killed and another injured on the Sambhajinagar Highway in the same district. This accident occurred around 11 pm when a truck collided with a tipper near Kinagavanaraja village. The tipper driver died in the accident, while the truck driver sustained injuries and is undergoing treatment in Jalna. The police have initiated an investigation into the matter and registered a case.

Earlier on April 30, a tragic accident took place in Nashik district where a government bus collided with a truck, resulting in the death of four people, including a minor, and injuring 34 others. Nine of the injured were in critical condition. Following this accident, the Maharashtra government announced financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh to the families of the deceased. The bus, belonging to the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC), had about 45 passengers on board when the accident occurred around 9:45 am near Aher Basti, Chandwad town, on the Mumbai-Agra National Highway.
