Bangalore: JD(S) Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna, who had left the country amid allegations of sexual abuse against him, is reportedly planning to surrender to the police, according to recent reports. Explicit video clips allegedly involving the 33-year-old Prajwal, the grandson of JD(S) patriarch and former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda, had surfaced in Hassan recently. Following this, the state government formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to look into the sexual abuse allegations against the MP.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has stated that the government is committed to ensuring Prajwal’s return for investigation. “We believe in the law. Wherever Prajwal Revanna is, we will track him down and ensure his return,” added the Karnataka CM. JD(S) Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna is expected to surrender himself to the Karnataka police’s Special Investigation Team, following the advice of his father, HD Revanna. According to a report, the Karnataka police expects Prajwal to arrive in Bengaluru early Monday morning to surrender before the team investigating the case. Karnataka Home Minister Dr G Parameshwara mentioned that a Blue Corner notice has been issued against Prajwal Revanna, and the Interpol’s assistance is being sought to bring him back to India.

A Blue Corner Notice is issued by the international police cooperation body to collect additional information from its member countries about a person’s identity, location, or activities related to a crime. “A Blue Corner notice has already been issued. Interpol will inform all countries and locate him,” Parameshwara told reporters. JDS leader and Prajwal’s father, HD Revanna, was arrested by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) on Saturday for allegedly sexually assaulting several women, after a court denied him relief in a kidnapping case filed against him. He has been remanded to police custody until May 8 by a Bengaluru court.
