Sidhi: The incident of 8 journalists being stripped inside a police station in the Sidhi district of Madhya Pradesh has taken a new turn. In this incident, the Shivraj Government has gone into action mode after making its own fuss all over the world. Taking serious note of the incident of taking the clothes of journalists and their other friends in the police station seriously, two police officers have been suspended. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has also called for a report.
Madhya Pradesh Government took this action when the photograph of the journalist and his other associates standing in underwear in Sidhi, Madhya Pradesh went viral on social media, after which the State Government has taken cognizance of the matter and took action. In fact, a few days ago, some persons who were staging a dharna were arrested by the police, after which their clothes were taken off and a procession was taken out to the police station. After the arrest by the local police, the journalist and others were treated badly by police.
Thereafter, the picture in underwear went viral. Now, chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has taken cognizance of the incident. The SHO and SI Line attached. Shivraj govt has sought an explanation from the responsible persons from the Bhopal police headquarters. It has also directed strict action against the guilty policemen of Sidhi. The SHO and a SI responsible for the ill-treatment meted out to the journalists have been suspended with immediate effect. Not only this, but Sidhi district SP Mukesh Kumar Srivastava has also summoned SHO Kotwali Manoj Soni and Amilia Police Station In-charge Abhishek Singh.
