Winter is here and with this season comes a lot of hunger pangs. We crave warm and spicy dishes to keep us energetic. Many feel hunger constantly during winters which aren't panic about as it is normal during this time of the year. The colder weather leads to a temperature drop in our body and eating helps to generate internal heat.
This season brings in plentiful fresh fruits and veggies, and during the holiday season, we all crave yummy dishes. So, here are the lip-smacking yet healthy dishes.
1. Herb Pasta
Ingredients for pasta
3 cups cooked pasta
1 cup sliced mushrooms
1 cup parsley
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup basil leaves
2 cloves of garlic
2 green chilies
2 tbsp low-fat milk
1 tsp olive oil
salt to taste
Procedure
Heat some olive oil in the pan and add garlic and green chilies to it. Sauté it well but not till brown. Add mushrooms and saute them too. Mix in all the remaining ingredients. Cook till the pasta is warm and serve immediately.
2. Pasta in microgreens
Ingredients for pasta
Green Peas: 120 grams
Green Peas Shoot: 300 grams
Extra Virgin Olive Oil: 120 ml
Garlic: 5 grams
Lemon Juice: 5 ml
Salt and Pepper to taste
Penne Pasta blanched: 100 to150 grams
Method
Blend the small sweet peas, pea’s shoots, and garlic and lemon juice into a semi coarse paste. Steadily add the olive oil and ensure it’s a semi-smooth paste. Add the salt and pepper as per taste. Toss the blanched pasta into the pesto and garnish it with Parmesan cheese and bread.
