Assembly Election 2017: The counting for the assembly election in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Goa, Manipur, and Uttrakhand begins from 8 this morning. As per the exit poll, Punjab is the predicted to have given AAP a clear majority in the state while Uttar Pradesh to be heading towards a hung assembly with BJP in lead.

Parties of all the states are fighting neck to neck for top honours. These elections at some limit will decide the upcoming politics of the country. Stay with us for live updates.

As the Uttar Pradesh is the most keenly watched state because the two biggest party formed a strong alliance- Congress and Samajwadi Party(SP) which is competing with the Bharatiya Janata Party buoyed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Mayawati's Bahujan Samaj Party. The counting of votes has started in states. On 200 seats the Bharatiya Janata party has 130 seats, Congress- Samajwadi party has 38 seats, Bahujan samaj party has 25 seats while other has 7 seats.
