The Supreme Court of India has deferred hearing on a petition filed against the clean cheat given by SIT to the then Chief Minister of the state Narendra Modi during the 2002 Gujarat riots. The next hearing of the case will be on April 14. The Supreme Court said during this time that the hearing of the case has been postponed several times, how long will it happen. One must have a hearing on it someday. This petition has been filed by Zakia Jafri. Zakia is the wife of Ahsan Jafri, a former Congress MP killed in the riots.

The case was adjourned to a hearing by a bench of AM Khanwilkar and Dinesh Maheshwari till April when Zakia's lawyer sought an adjournment and requested the court to hear it after Holi's leave.
