Honda, the world's leading automobile manufacturer, has started delivery of its 2020 Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin Adventure Sports in India. Two variants of this motorcycle are available for sale in the Indian market. The first is equipped with a 6-speed manual gearbox and the second 7-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox. Both models have been priced at Rs 15.35 lakh and Rs 16.10 lakh respectively. The company launched them in the month of March. The updated Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sport has finally started delivery in India. HMSI has handed over the keys to the first customer at its Honda Bigwing showroom in Gurugram, Haryana. In his statement, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt Ltd Director Sales and Marketing, Yadvinder Singh Guleria said, "Launching the BS6 era of its premium motorcycle business, Honda launched the all-new 2020 Africa Twin Adventure Sports in March this year. For your information, let us tell you that the biggest update in the new Africa Twin has been done in its engine. It now has an engine of 1,084 cc instead of 999 cc and it gives 7 percent more torque and 6 percent more power. The basic architecture of the engine has been retained, but the parallel-twin achieves a longer stroke, ranging from 75.1 mm to 81.5 mm and with 92 mm bores in place. For this reason it generates power of 101 bhp at 7,500 rpm and 105 Nm of torque at 6,250 rpm. The engine now comes with a lightweight aluminum cylinder cover and redesigned engine casing. In this, the weight of 2020 Africa Twin of manual transmission is 2.5 kg lighter than the old variant. At the same time, the weight of the variants with automatic DCT transmission engine is 2.2 kg.
