New Delhi: The 2023 Hyundai VERNA Edition was spotted test driving ahead of launch despite heavy camouflage.

The mid-size sedan will soon be introduced in the Indian market by the South Korean automaker. To recall, the facelifted model (codename: BN7) was earlier spotted test-driving in South Korea. This is likely to include the ADAS safety system.

One of Hyundai's popular products in the South East Asian and Indian markets is the VERNA. It competes in the mid-size sedan market and is known for its attractive design aesthetic and stuffed interiors with features.

However, the automaker has decided to update its sedan in light of the recent dominance of rivals like Volkswagen Virtus and Skoda Slavia.

The Hyundai VERNA will follow the company's "Sensuous Sportiness" design philosophy. It will feature a chiseled wide grille, split-style LED headlights with DRLs, wide air dams, fastback-like sloping roofline, blacked-out B-pillars, ORVMs with indicators, flared wheel arches and designer alloy wheels. At the rear, there will be a shark-fin antenna, connected LED taillamps, diffuser, high-mounted stoplight and other features.

The technical specifications of the Hyundai VERNA have not been made public yet. There should be two engine options for the sedan: a 1.5-litre petrol engine with a mild hybrid system and a 1.5-litre

The interiors of the 2023 Hyundai VERNA are a bit of a mystery.
The sedan is expected to feature a spacious five-seat interior, a minimalist dashboard, ventilated front seats, a sunroof, ambient lighting, a digital instrument cluster, a large touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, connected car technology and a multifunctional steering.
