New Delhi: A case of fraud worth Rs 2.5 crore with the mother of Chief Justice of the country (CJI) Sharad Arvind Bobde. A person who looks after his family's assets has been arrested by the police. A police officer has given information in this regard.

According to the police officer, 49-year-old Tapas Ghosh was arrested on Tuesday night on charges of duping mother of CJI Bobde of  Rs 2.5 crore. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Nagpur Police under the leadership of DCP Vineeta Sahu is investigating this entire case. Giving information, the police officer said that Bobde's family lives near Akashwani Chowk. His property adjacent to his house is named 'Seedan Lawn'. It is given on rent at various events. Mukta Bobde, mother of CJI Bobde, is the owner of this property Seedan Lawn. Ghosh was appointed to look after this property. Ghosh had been managing the property for the last ten years.

Police said that he was watching economic transactions for the last 10 years. He took advantage of Judge Bobde's mother's age and declining health. After this, fake lawn receipts were allegedly made and a scam of Rs 2.5 crore. The police officer has said that the amount can be more than this.
