Rameswaram, Today, a man raped a 25-year-old woman, whose husband died last month at a village near here.
The incident occurred last night at the woman’s home in Yerakadu and the accused identifies as Karthick 30.
A case had been registered following a complaint by the woman, and search is on for the accused.
According to the sources, around 150 residents of the village gathered in front of the DSP's office and staged a protest seeking immediate arrest of the culprit and left after being assured of action.
