Mumbai: Corona wreaking havoc has been increasing all over the country for the last one year, now it is growing even faster. Every day someone is getting infected by the virus, while talking about Maharashtra. There are 260 new cases of Covid-19 in Thane district of Maharashtra, after which the number of infected people increased to 2,53,627. An official gave this information on Sunday.

He said that 2 more people have been killed due to coronavirus on Saturday, after which the number of dead in the district increased to 6,151. The official said that the death rate in the district is 2.43%. He said that so far 2,44,072 patients have been free from infection and the recovery rate in the district is 96.23%. Treatment of 3,404 patients is going on in the district.

Another official said that the number of infected in the neighboring Palghar district increased to 45,175. The death toll is 1,197.
