Amritsar: Punjab Congress unit president Amarinder Singh Raja Wadding has been forced to put up posters and banners in Chandigarh without permission. Chandigarh Municipal Corporation has issued a notice to Vadding regarding this and has imposed a fine of Rs 29,390 on him. In fact, the swearing-in program of the newly appointed state president of Punjab was on Friday at Congress Bhawan located in Sector-15, Chandigarh. Posters and banners were put up on the trees, ignoring the rules to welcome them.

Taking immediate action on the instructions of Commissioner Anandita Mitra, the corporation confiscated all the posters. Let us inform you that earlier the same happened during the swearing-in ceremony of former CM Charanjit Singh Channi, but the corporation could not take any action at that time. Many questions were raised about this. CM Channi, including Chandigarh Municipal Corporation, was also criticized a lot.

Congress leader Vading, after taking charge, said "discipline, dedication and dialogue" are necessary to strengthen the party and face challenges. Giving the mantra of 3D, former Punjab Transport Minister Vading has warned that disciplinary action will be taken against those who try to weaken the Congress.
