Bhubaneswar: Corona patients are increasing rapidly in Odisha. Day by day the number of patients is increasing rapidly. On the other hand, after the record of 2,924 new cases of corona infection on Sunday, the total number of patients in the state has reached 60,050. A health department official said that after the death of ten more infected people, the number of people who died of this epidemic in the state has increased to 343. Of the ten more people who died due to corona infection, 4 were from Khurda and Ganjam district.

Apart from this, 1 infected has died in Bhadrak, Bolangir, Cuttack, Jajpur, Kandhamal and Sonpur each. The Health and Family Welfare Department tweeted, "It is being reported with great sadness that ten patients of Corona died during treatment in hospitals. At present, treatment of 18,929 infected people is going on in the state and 40,727 people have been cured." In this regard, the officer said that Khurda has the highest number of 488 new cases. After this, 318 cases have been reported in Ganjam, 200 in Jajpur, 189 in Cuttack, 161 in Sundergarh, 142 in Nayagarh, 136 in Mayurbhanj, 127 in Balasore, 116 in Rayagada and 107 in Bhadrak.

Out of the new cases of Coronavirus, 1,815 people were living in different corona centres, while 1,109 others have been detected during the investigation of contacts of the infected. 52,795 samples have been investigated in the state on Saturday. So far, 9,08,508 samples have been investigated in the state.
