3 COBRA Commandos Of CRPF Were Killed In Anti-Naxal Operation Chhatisgarh

200 soilder were safely removed from the Naxal area in Chhattisgarh. Out of which 3 were killed, 17 injured and 12 were in serious condition.

 According to officials two commandos, identified as constables Linju N and Fateh Singh had succumbed to their bullet injuries yesterday, their colleague Lakshman Singh died on Thursday.

The three Commandos are said to have lost their lives due to excessive blood loss as their evacuation was delayed due to the ambush put up by Maoists, officials said one of the CoBRA commandos, Fateh Singh was a highly trained member of then squad who had brought successes for the force in numerous operations.

The encountered begen when special Unit of CRPF “COBRA” which is specialized in jungle warfare had first exchange of fire with Maoists in the Jungles of Bastar area.

Special director general of police DM Awasthi  told PTI that. “The operation is underway to retrieve the injured jawans. Around 600 personal have been pressed into service.”

Personals of security forces including those from central Reserve Police Force, COBRA and state police, are combing the area, they said.
