The police is engaged in the investigation of the three murders. The same incident is of Naxal-affected Rishikund in Shampur police station area where a goods vehicle was set ablaze last night. In the morning people informed the police about this matter. When the police reached the spot for search, traces of blood were found, after which the police started the search operation, then a dead body was recovered from the bush.

At the same time, after the incident, Haveli Kharagpur SDPO Rakesh Kumar reached the spot and inquired about the case. Due to this, a joint search operation was carried out by the STF and the police force, then another body was found in the drain. After collecting information about the same car, when the owner of the vehicle was contacted, it was found that the vehicle was driven by a person named Mohd Shahzad while a person named Kaushar was the sub-driver in it. The same police has started investigating the matter by sending both the dead bodies to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
