In Haryana, a tragic accident took place on the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) expressway near Asauda toll plaza in the Jhajjar district on Thursday. In fact, three migrant labourers have died here when a coal-laden truck was crushed to death. 11 people are said to be seriously injured. According to the information received, migrant labourers were sleeping on the roadside. On the other hand, as soon as the incident was reported, the police also reached the spot. The police then rushed the injured to the hospital and from here the seriously injured have been referred to PGIMS, Rohtak.
18 labourers were sleeping at the time of the accident and four of them survived, while three died on the spot. It is being told that all the deceased and injured do the repair work on KMP. In this case, it is also being told that after working, the employees were tired and fell asleep on the roadside. The uncontrollable truck, which came at a high speed from behind, climbed onto the sleeping employees. ASP Amit Yashvardhan said that 10 injured have been referred to PGI and four are undergoing treatment at Bahadurgarh.
Deputy Commissioner Shakti Singh said that despite being warned by the police to move to a safer place, the labourers working with the contractor and engaged in road repair work were sleeping on the roadside. Apart from this, he said that he put a barrier on one side of the highway to make space for sleeping and the truck climbed on top of them after hitting the barrier.
