Mumbai: With the confirmation of 33 more cases of coronavirus in Maharashtra on Monday, the total number of patients in the state has increased to 781. Giving information, a health official said that 19 cases have been reported from Pune, 11 from Mumbai and one each from Satara, Ahmednagar and Vasai (Palghar district).

He said that the state Health Department received 33 coronavirus positive reports on Monday, after which the number of patients infected with the coronavirus has so far reached 781. So far 45 people have died in the state due to this disease. At the same time, after the corona examination of some employees of Wockhardt Hospital in Mumbai came positive, the hospital has been declared a control zone. Meanwhile, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) will receive 7 lakh rapid antibody testing kits from abroad by April 8 amid Corona outbreaks in India.

This will be especially beneficial in Maharashtra as it has the highest number of corona cases. In such a situation, it is expected that the first antibody testing kit arrived in Maharashtra. The first batch is expected to have 5 lakh kits. This test is more effective in people whose symptoms do not show up initially. The decision to perform rapid antibody tests in hotspot areas can prove effective. Hotspots are said to be the areas where the most cases occur.
