39% voting is done till 12’clock: Gujarat elections

Till 10 am, 12.39 percent of voter turnout was reported. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Amit Shah and other political leaders have named their votes. The voting will continue till 5 pm in more than 25,000 polling stations.

As we all know that 30.39% of voting was recorded in Vadodara City till 12 noon, while 36.13% of voters turned up in Dabhoi. Out of total machines deployed for the second phase of Gujarat Polls, 1.63% VVPATs replaced after mock polling. 0.88 % Ballot Units and 0.86% Control Units also returned.

 Not only this but '106-year-old' Manibhai Patel, a resident of Raman Nagar Society, Maninagar is all jovial after casting his vote. A total of 851 competitors are in the fight and over 2.22 lakh people will take part in the vote to decide their destiny. The security has been improved in many parts of the state in the wake of the polls. The BJP has fielded 93 applicants for this phase, while Congress has fielded only 91. The voter turnout in the first phase of the polls was 68 per cent. The results will be declared on December 18. In the 2012 assembly polls, the BJP won 115 seats, while the Congress bagged 61.
