New Delhi: A tragic incident has been reported from Delhi. Here, four children had gone to play on the banks of the River Yamuna and drowned in the river while bathing. The body of one of the four children has been recovered from the Yamuna river. Rescue and relief operations are underway in search of the other three children. All children are said to be under the age of 14. 

According to information provided by the Delhi Police, at 3.35 pm on Wednesday, the Kalindi Kunj police received a call regarding the disappearance of four children. The police team immediately reached Vishwakarma Colony and spoke to Sadaqat Ali, who made the PCR call and enquired about the matter. Sadaqat Ali, a resident of Nagar Mandi Khada Colony, told the police that his 11-year-old son Mohammad Ali had gone to play near Yamuna Bank with his three other friends, but did not return even after a long time. When they reached the banks of the River Yamuna, four pairs of slippers and children's clothes were found, but the children were not found.

The police, who rushed to the spot as soon as the information was received, immediately called the disaster management team, a team of swimmers from the flood control department, a boat and searchlight, a fire brigade, and a CATS ambulance to the spot and started the rescue operation. At around 5 pm, the body of a child, identified as Iqbal Ali, was found in the muddy waters of the Yamuna river, identified as Iqbal Ali, 13. The search is on for the three other missing children, 11-year-old Mohammad Ali, 13-year-old Sahil, and 13-year-old Rihan.
