Nagpur: A fire broke out in the ICU of Well Treat Covid Hospital in the Wadi area of Nagpur last Friday night in corona-hit Maharashtra. According to reports, the fire caused panic there. Now the work of shifting the patients to another hospital is going on there. Talking about the case, Dr. Avinash Gawande, Medical Superintendent, GMC Nagpur said that 4 bodies have been brought to the government medical college and hospital. Several fire brigade vehicles rushed to the spot as soon as information was received.
The fire in the hospital was then brought under control. Talking about the case, Nagpur police said, "There were about 27 patients in the hospital who have been admitted to another hospital. We can't say anything about their health situation right now. The hospital has been evacuated.'' At the same time, the work of taking stock of the exact compliance of fire safety rules in the hospital is also underway. According to the information received so far, the fire broke out in an AC of the hospital, and the fire spread shortly thereafter. A large part of the hospital was then engulfed in fire.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also expressed grief over the fire at a hospital in Nagpur. "My perceptions are with the families of the deceased in this hour of grief. It is prayed that the injured recover as soon as possible.'' The Home Minister also expressed grief over the incident and said, "Deeply saddened by the news of a fire in a hospital in Nagpur. I extend my deepest condolences to the families of the deceased in this hour of grief and pray to God for the speedy recovery of the injured.'' Recently a major fire broke out in a hospital in Bhandup, Mumbai. During that time, 10 people died and many others injured in the fire.
