Kolkata: A case has been reported of the beating of a Bihar Police in West Bengal. It is being told that the Thanedar had gone to arrest a wanted criminal in Bengal, but in the meantime, some people attacked him and beat him to death. The case is about Pantapara village of Panjipada police station in Bengal. There was wanted criminal hiding in this village, who was caught by Ashwani Kumar, SHO of Kishanganj in Bihar, but he was attacked by the villagers, in which he lost his life. 

According to the information, this incident is around 2 pm Friday-Saturday. Actually, the border of Kishanganj is from Bengal. Ashwani had gone out in search of a wanted criminal in Puntapara village in Bengal. It is being told that Ashwani Kumar also reached the local police station of Bengal in the night. So the station in charge said that the ODO will go with him. In such a situation, Ashwani Kumar reached the village alone. After this, the villagers beat them to death with sticks and stones. 

At present, the body of Ashwani Kumar is kept in Islampur Hospital in Bengal. After the entire case came to light, Bihar Police Association President Mrityunjay Kumar Singh demanded a compensation of Rs 1 crore each from the central government and the state government to the victim's family.
